Job summary

Caterpillar invites applications for a 12 Month Industrial Placement Scheme in Stafford. This Manufacturing Engineering – Technical Services placement offers a salary of £26,000, plus share scheme, pension, and 25 days annual leave.

You’ll work on strategic projects and gain broad experience across Caterpillar’s global operations while contributing to PQVC improvements. Eligibility requires penultimate year of study (or integrated master's) and commencing July 2027.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of study or enrolled in an integrated master’s program.
• Interested in Manufacturing Engineering – Technical Services.

Responsibilities

• Support operational efficiency and process improvements across multiple projects.
• Develop and install new control processes to improve repeatability.
• Assist with compliance and process development activities.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for process and facility improvements.
• Project management and coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to re-configuring assets and processes to improve flow and quality.
• Investigate new technologies and solutions for production processes.
