Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity within the Manufacturing Engineering function for up to two Data Analysts.

The roles will support analysis and reporting of Production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to business reviews and strategic decision-making through insights.

The roles are based in Edinburgh with a flexible mix of home and on-site work.

What you’ll do as a Manufacturing Engineering Data Analyst

  • Provide key data inputs to aid Operations decisions and failure review boards.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Analyze production KPIs, identify trends, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Standardize and improve reporting processes.
  • Run capacity models (e.g., Simul8) to predict production outputs under various scenarios, assessing impacts of yield improvements, upgrades, etc.
  • Maintain manufacturing data such as routings, ensuring data integrity.
  • Assist in reviewing production schedules, costs, and future requirements.
  • Participate in capacity analysis, workflow planning, and layout optimization.

Development opportunities are provided through virtual and practical environments, with a focus on continuous personal growth. Leonardo partners with Coursera, offering access to around 4,000 courses for self-directed learning.

What we need from you

  • Minimum HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Understanding of MRP systems and capacity modeling software (e.g., Simul8, Witness).
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage R&R, and data analysis tools like MiniTab.
  • Proficiency in VBA, PowerQuery, and PowerPivot for data analysis is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical data effectively.
  • Ability to create clear visual data representations.
