Job summary

SYOS Aerospace in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to translate design intent into shopfloor processes, maintain BOMs and routings, and ensure ISO 9001 quality compliance. You will bridge Engineering and Production and support NPI from prototype to production.

Key tasks include creating manufacturing work instructions, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating with Supply Chain to secure parts, tooling and routings.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within aerospace, defence, engineering or a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience creating and controlling manufacturing work instructions, assembly procedures and production documentation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems and change management.
• Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems, including maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.

Responsibilities

• Turning engineering designs into practical, shopfloor-ready manufacturing processes.
• Creating clear work instructions that help teams build products right first time.
• Supporting the launch of innovative autonomous systems from concept to production.
• Collaborating across Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to overcome challenges and improve performance.
