Job summary

Oho Group in Cambridge is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to take new products from prototype into volume production, collaborating with engineering teams and contract manufacturers to scale manufacturing. You will apply DFM/DFMA, develop processes and documentation, support prototypes, investigate issues, and drive corrective actions to improve yields and manufacturing performance.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, cross-functional communication, and a strong background in

Qualifications

Experience in NPI, Manufacturing or Process Engineering.
Background with electronics or electro-mechanical products.
Experience taking products into volume production.
Understanding of SMT/PCBA and assembly processes.
Experience working with contract manufacturers.

Responsibilities

Lead NPI activity from prototype through to production.
Work with contract manufacturers on new product introduction.
Apply DFM / DFMA principles to product designs.
Develop manufacturing processes and documentation.
Support prototype and pre-production builds.
Investigate production issues and drive corrective actions.
Analyse yields and process data to improve manufacturing performance.
