Job summary

MBDA Missile Systems in the United Kingdom seeks a Manufacturing Support Engineer to translate design requirements into clear build instructions and coordinate day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor. You will work under the Principal Engineer across multiple projects, driving manufacturing problem identification, resolution and process improvements.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 engineering apprenticeship or equivalent with further education such as HNC.
• Degree in relevant engineering subject is acceptable.
• Proactive problem solving and ability to interpret design drawings are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support existing manufacturing lines and new product introduction.
• Contribute to industrial validation and design for manufacture considerations.
• Manage configuration control and update manufacturing documentation and BOMs.
• Support the non-conformance process and ensure safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate with COSHH, SHE and human factors for safe process implementations.
• Collaborate with design authority during prototype/development to optimise DfM.
• Develop and control tooling and production instructions.
