Job summary

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Exeter with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Engineer specialising in production gauging.

This is a great opportunity to join an established engineering team in a varied role where you'll be involved in improving manufacturing processes, introducing new equipment and supporting the development of measurement and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with tooling and fixture design.
• Good IT skills and CAD experience.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across manufacturing processes, focusing on production gauging and measurement.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Create and maintain measurement programmes for CMM and automated measurement equipment.
• Design and support tooling and fixtures development.
• Support the introduction of new manufacturing equipment and automation.
• Assist in qualification of new products and processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and procedures.
• Support quality, health and safety and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Mentor other members of the engineering team when required.
