Job summary

Catalyst is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Newcastle upon Tyne for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will translate customer requirements into ERP routings and manufacturing plans, develop process drawings, and manage process changes to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.

The role involves PFMEA, improvement opportunities, and collaboration across engineering and procurement to meet contract budgets.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing Engineering experience in fabrication and/or complex assembly.
• Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and specifications into ERP routings and manufacturing plans.
• Produce process drawings (including DXF) and verify conformance of components.
• Define and produce drawings for Jig & Tooling requirements for manufacture.
• Manage process changes to minimize quality and scrap risk with proper documentation.
• Create detailed ERP routings with material requirements and build sequences with target times.
• Collaborate with procurement to define product specs for equipment and materials.
