Job Description:

Role Overview: Rolls-Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in composites preforming. The role involves developing manufacturing methods for composite fan systems, focusing on dry 3D woven fibre preforms, and working within the Composite Technology Facility in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preforming processes for composite materials.
  • Ensure processes meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Create technical packages including equipment specifications and process documentation.
  • Identify process improvements using statistical tools.
  • Drive towards zero defects in manufacturing processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline, HND or HNC with manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with handling dry (3D woven) fibres.
  • Understanding of technology readiness levels and process maturity.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing systems and process controls.
