Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer / Machine Shop in Leicester on a permanent basis. The role involves working with machine shop teams on CNC, manual machining and grinding, and collaborating with design engineers to develop new products using Design for Manufacture principles.

You will use SolidWorks CAD/CAM to design tooling and fixtures, support production, and identify new machinery and processes while leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to cut costs and boost

Responsibilities

Work closely with machine shop teams, applying strong knowledge of CNC, manual machining, grinding and other manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with design engineers to develop new products and prototypes using Design for Manufacture principles.
Use SolidWorks CAD/CAM to design tooling and fixtures while providing technical support to production teams.
Identify and implement new machinery, equipment and processes.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and processes while reducing costs.
