Job summary

Airedale by Modine is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Bradford to optimise manufacturing processes, translate engineering drawings into actionable workflows, and lead continuous improvement efforts. The role reports to the Plant Manager and involves cross-functional collaboration across production teams.

The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing experience, problem-solving skills, and CAD proficiency, with a degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Strong work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent engineering problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience utilising lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimise, and validate manufacturing processes.
• Translate drawings into manufacturable processes and document work instructions.
• Design factory layouts and select machinery and tooling.
• Support new product introductions and prototype builds.
• Provide day-to-day production support and analyse data to improve processes.
• Lead CI projects focused on cost reduction, waste elimination, and quality enhancement.
