Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Mechanical Design & Development Engineer in Bradford to design and develop new products across the product portfolio. You will drive innovations, support value engineering initiatives, and ensure manufacturability with cost-focused design from concept through production.

Based in Cross Lane, Bradford, you will collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Quality teams to deliver robust, market-ready solutions for commercial vehicle systems and

Qualifications

• Experience in design and development of mechanical products.
• Strong CAD skills with GD&T knowledge.
• Experience with cost reduction and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, assemblies and components.
• Create CAD models, manufacturing drawings, calculations and specs.
• Take designs from concept through validation and production release.
• Apply DFM, DFA, Reliability and Cost principles.
• Ensure products meet performance, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support product upgrades and design optimisation projects.
• Engage suppliers on component design and new technologies.
• Transfer designs into production and support troubleshooting.
