A leading life sciences company in Long Eaton is seeking an experienced engineer to support operations in cleanroom laboratories. You will ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while managing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting a variety of equipment. Ideal candidates will possess strong electrical and mechanical engineering expertise, hands-on experience with life science instruments, and a minimum HNC qualification. The role offers an opportunity for growth within a high-performance team environment.
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards is essential. In this role you will work in ISO 5 and ISO 7 cleanrooms, wearing appropriate PPE (respirator hood, safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.). You will operate within a cleanroom laboratory setting while continuously improving processes and maintaining equipment.
Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3). Minimum HNC qualification in engineering or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience post‑HNC in a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑performance team. Strong time‑management and prioritization skills to meet strict deadlines. Flexibility and resilience in managing changing priorities. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Commitment to continuous improvement and safety excellence.
