Manufacturing Engineer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors and operatives.
- Participate in new projects, prototype builds, providing DFA/DFM input to new and existing product design, creating project documentation, such as process flow, layout, and industrialization plan.
- Designing and making new equipment, tools, fixtures, integrating them into production line, and improving existing ones.
- Create and maintain PFMEAs, work instructions, and other production-related documentation.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Create and manage plans to keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
- Maintain product and process database and reporting accordingly.
- Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Investigate and solve production issues and make improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency.
- Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering qualification
- Minimum 5 years working in production environment, preferably in the automotive sector
- CAD modelling skills
- Programming (C++, C#, LUA, VBA) and PLC knowledge is beneficial
- Computer literate with Windows and Office applications
