Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering/CMM Programmer for the aerospace and defence sector. The role focuses on developing, validating, and optimising CMM inspection programmes for high-precision components in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Design and Production teams.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in PC-DMIS or CAMIO, strong GD&T and CAD-based inspection programming skills, and a track record supporting NPI, FAI, SPC and MSA in regulated

Qualifications

• Proven experience in precision metrology and CMM programming.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• CAD-based inspection programming using CAD data models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise CMM inspection programmes for LK Metrology CMMs.
• Program complex 3D inspection routines from CAD models.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Support NPI, industrialisation and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Investigate dimensional non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
• Support MSA, Gauge R&R and capability studies.
• Improve inspection strategies and reduce cycle times.
• Maintain CMM programmes, inspection documentation, and work instructions.
• Work within AS9100/EN9100 and other highly regulated quality environments.

• Developing and optimising CMM inspection programmes for LK Metrology CMMs
• Programming complex 3D inspection routines from CAD models
• Interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Supporting NPI, industrialisation and First Article Inspection (FAI)
