Job summary
CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering/CMM Programmer for the aerospace and defence sector. The role focuses on developing, validating, and optimising CMM inspection programmes for high-precision components in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Design and Production teams.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in PC-DMIS or CAMIO, strong GD&T and CAD-based inspection programming skills, and a track record supporting NPI, FAI, SPC and MSA in regulated
Qualifications
- Proven experience in precision metrology and CMM programming.
- Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- CAD-based inspection programming using CAD data models.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise CMM inspection programmes for LK Metrology CMMs.
- Program complex 3D inspection routines from CAD models.
- Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Support NPI, industrialisation and First Article Inspection (FAI).
- Investigate dimensional non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
- Support MSA, Gauge R&R and capability studies.
- Improve inspection strategies and reduce cycle times.
- Maintain CMM programmes, inspection documentation, and work instructions.
- Work within AS9100/EN9100 and other highly regulated quality environments.
