Job Purpose:

Responsibilities

• Design and qualify HAPS production systems using Manufacturing System Engineering tools such as cellular production, lean process flow, line balancing, factory layout, and simulation.
• Deliver shop floor requirements to the HAPS Facilities Management team, including creating and updating MRP system routings, job cards, and standard operating instructions (SOIs).
• Develop technical dossiers and support procurement, supply chain monitoring, and Make vs. Buy decisions, including benchmarking.
• Provide technical problem-solving support to production and supply chain, applying APQP as appropriate.
• Perform Design For Manufacture (DFM) and Design To Cost (DTC) studies, providing input to design teams.
• Liaise with MGSE, Jigs & Tools for design, manufacture, calibration, and maintenance.
• Promote a “Right First Time” quality culture through business systems and feedback loops.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing Systems Engineering role.
• Knowledge of aircraft or space equipment production, assembly, wiring, and avionic system testing.
• Experience in creating, standardizing, or improving production systems, teams, and facilities.
• Proven ability to solve technical operational issues.
• Ability to work effectively in multi-function teams and matrix organizations.
• Proficiency in IT and CAD tools.
