Job summary

Owen Daniels is a leading precision engineering manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen and streamline manufacturing processes. You will contribute to delivering high-quality fabricated and machined components.

We are looking for hands-on metal fabrication expertise, a background in precision manufacturing, and the ability to read engineering drawings. You will collaborate across departments to drive improvements and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on metal fabrication experience.
• Experience in precision manufacturing; aerospace or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work across Engineering, Quality, Operations and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering projects from quotation through to production.
• Create and maintain BOMs, routings, works orders and manufacturing documentation.
• Produce quotations from customer drawings and specifications.
• Support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI).
• Improve manufacturing methods, tooling and production processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations and customers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.

Job description

We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading precision engineering business specialising in high-quality fabricated and machined components.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in managing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting production, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing engineering projects from quotation through to production.
• Creating and maintaining BOMs, routings, works orders and manufacturing documentation.
• Producing quotations from customer drawings and specifications.
• Supporting New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI).
• Improving manufacturing methods, tooling, and production processes.
• Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and customers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong hands-on knowledge of metal fabrication.
• Experience within precision manufacturing (aerospace or similar highly regulated industries would be advantageous).
• Good understanding of fabricated and machined components.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to read engineering drawings and work collaboratively across departments.
