Job summary

TN Talent Recruitment Ltd are partnering with an established engineering business in Nottinghamshire to appoint a General Manager responsible for manufacturing operations and the commercial agenda. You will lead production and engineering teams, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets and develop key customer relationships to accelerate growth and profitability.

The role offers a permanent, senior leadership position with a strong influence on strategic direction and long-term commercial

Qualifications

• Senior management experience within precision engineering, CNC machining or engineering-led manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing operations and managing teams.
• Commercial experience involving customer relationships, sales growth or business development.
• A good understanding of budgets, P&L, cost control and profitability.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality, cost and delivery targets are achieved.
• Manage and develop teams across production, engineering and commercial functions.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Develop existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, margins and profitability.
• Manage production capacity, supply chain performance and capital investment.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver business growth strategies.
