Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader in Northampton to lead a multi-skilled engineering team in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The role focuses on safe maintenance delivery, performance improvements, and developing engineering talent.

You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and asset reliability.
• Experience using CMMS/SAP maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of up to 8 engineers to a high-performing culture.
• Oversee safe execution of all maintenance activities across production and site services.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, RCA, Six Sigma and related methods.
• Perform performance reviews, training plans, and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
