Aspion in Greater Manchester (Irlam) is seeking a Buyer / Stock Controller to join their manufacturing team. You will manage purchasing of raw materials and site supplies, using SAP to control stock and supplier records, while building strong supplier relationships.

You'll work with production, logistics and finance to forecast demand, negotiate terms, and maintain supply continuity. The role is office-based, full-time, with typical Monday-Thursday hours and Friday finish.

Qualifikationen

• At least three years' purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven SAP experience is a huge advantage.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience managing stock and purchasing a range of production materials.
• Excellent organisation, attention to detail and spreadsheet skills.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to work across different departments.
• A practical approach to problem solving, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

Aufgaben

• Purchasing raw materials and site supplies to support production.
• Negotiating pricing, lead times and terms to ensure value and reliability.
• Using SAP to manage purchasing info, stock levels and supplier records.
• Monitoring stock requirements and supporting forecasting to meet demand.
• Building relationships with suppliers and identifying alternative sources.
• Coordinating deliveries with site teams to keep arrivals organised.
