Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer for a leading UK manufacturing and contract packaging business. The role involves working with engineering, production, operations and commercial teams to develop practical engineering solutions across R&D, NPD, automation and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on engineering experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of automated machinery and packaging systems, and can manage multiple projects while meeting health,

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or above.
• Hands-on engineering and strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG or packaging environments.
• Knowledge of automated machinery, packaging equipment or handling systems.
• Experience identifying faults and implementing engineering improvements.

Responsibilities

• Developing, testing and implementing solutions to improve machinery, packaging processes, line performance and product quality.
• Supporting R&D and New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Conduct machinery, packaging and production trials.
• Supporting the introduction and optimisation of new packaging machinery and automation.
• Identifying engineering problems, carrying out root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
• Improving existing machinery through practical modifications and upgrades.
• Supporting technical projects for major FMCG customers and retailers.
• Producing technical documentation, including test reports, specifications, risk assessments and technical drawings.
• Supporting Lean, Kaizen, OEE and waste reduction projects.
