Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Associate for a 17‑week fixed‑term contract in Plymouth, Devon, UK. The role focuses on assembling PCB boards into mechanical housings, loading products onto local test rigs, and performing prescribed tests while following standard procedures.

The ideal candidate will show keen attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and flexibility to work weekends. Prior manufacturing assembly is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

Manufacturing Associate (17‑Week FTC)

Company: Collins Aerospace
Location: Plymouth, Devon, UK
Shift: Day Shift

Collins Aerospace designs and manufactures advanced control, navigation, and guidance products for global aerospace and defence markets. This 17‑week fixed‑term contract offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge aircraft interior components, including MEMS‑based Inertial Measurement Units and the TERPROM digital terrain reference navigation system.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform administration tasks in line with standard procedures.
• Work in accordance with standard operating instructions.
• Assemble PCB boards into mechanical housings.
• Load products onto local test rigs and run tests.

Candidates will be given a short soldering assembly exercise to demonstrate their soldering skills and to allow us to assess their trainability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous manufacturing assembly experience is desirable but not essential; the ideal candidate is eager to learn and comfortable working with their hands.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Flexibility to work occasionally on weekends.
