Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Technician (Mechanical) in Milton Keynes to lead a small team and oversee the build of bespoke X-ray equipment. The role focuses on hands-on assembly and daily technical guidance to the team.

You will coordinate tasks, liaise with internal departments to ensure on-time delivery to design specifications, and support the growth of the manufacturing operations with real progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Technician or assembler in manufacturing.
• Experience leading a small team is desirable.
• Experience building bespoke X-ray equipment preferred.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking to step into a Lead/Supervisory role, take ownership of a skilled assembly team and build specialist X-Ray equipment from the ground up, whilst developing your career within an established and growing manufacturer?

Established in 2003, this specialist company provide industrial X-ray services to local manufacturers including cabinets, equipment and even entire rooms. After continued growth they have recently moved into a new workshop and are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join the team.

In this role you will be leading a small team of Mechanical Assemblers, coordinating and providing technical guidance on a day-to-day basis. Whilst carrying out the build and assembly of bespoke X-ray equipment, you will also liaise with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the design specification.

This role would suit a Mechanical Assembler / Fitter from a manufacturing background looking to work on bespoke machinery with a company offering real progression within their new workshop.

The Role:

• Supervise and support a small but growing team of engineers
• Coordinate the day and assign tasks to your team
• Building bespoke X-ray cabinets and equipment
• Mon-Fri (8am-4pm) with optional overtime at 1.5x (Sunday 2x)

Willing to commute to their workshop in Milton Keynes
