Job summary

Qualifications

• GCSEs 9-4 or A*-C in English and Maths.
• 2x A-Levels to include Maths/Physics OR
• Level 3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering related discipline.
• Strong work ethic and a desire to learn new skills.
• Interest in electrical assembly through practical experience or study.
• CV must include these items.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive range of electrical assembly techniques.
• Interpreting drawings and working from written instructions.
• Use of hand tools, and measuring and test equipment.
• Liaise with Engineering and manufacturing team leaders to improve electrical assembly methods and design.
• Use problem solving techniques to solve process related issues.
• Prioritise workload to meet deliverable timelines.
• Experience of 6S principles and lean manufacturing/continuous improvement tools.

A Lockheed Martin Apprenticeship will help you to develop the practical skills and knowledge that you will need to join a highly skilled team of Electrical and Mechanical Assembly Technicians.

What skills will I need?

• GCSE's 9-4 or A*-C in English and Maths AND
• Minimum of 2x A-Levels to include Maths/Physics OR
• Completed Level 3 Extended Diploma in an Engineering related discipline.
• Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a desire to learn new skills.
• Additionally, if you have technical / hands on interests or hobbies, we would be very interested to hear about them.
• An interest in electrical assembly through either practical experience or study.
