Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced Manual Turner to join an established engineering team. You will work from technical drawings to produce precision components on manual lathes, ensuring accurate tolerances and high quality.

The role requires reading drawings, selecting tools, inspecting finished parts, and adhering to health and safety. This is a full-time permanent position offering competitive pay dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Manual Turner or in a similar machining role
• Strong experience operating manual lathes
• Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings
• Good understanding of machining processes, tooling and materials
• Experience producing components to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
