Job summary

Engineering Connect is recruiting an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well-established engineering manufacturer based in the Blackburn area. This permanent role operates a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, with every Friday off, and includes overtime at enhanced rates in busy periods.

You will set up and operate manual milling machines, pillar drills and lathes, read engineering drawings, and measure components with precision instruments to ensure tight tolerances and high quality in small

Qualifications

• Previous manual machining experience.
• Experience using milling machines, pillar drills and/or lathes.
• Must have previously worked within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Confident using engineering measuring equipment.
• Mechanically minded with a hands-on approach.
• Good attention to detail.

Manual Machinist

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm (4-day working week)

Salary: Competitive / dependent on experience
