Job summary

Key Plant Automation Limited is seeking an experienced Manual Horizontal Borer / Milling Machinist to join its precision engineering production environment in the UK. The role includes setting and machining large fabrications and components, reading engineering drawings, and performing tight-tolerance inspections using height gauges, micrometers and verniers.

The ideal candidate will work in a team or alone, maintain safety standards and contribute to high-quality workmanship for wind turbines,

Qualifications

• Experience operating large manual machines (borers, milling, drilling/tapping).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Machining precision components to tight tolerances.
• Safety-conscious with good quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate manual horizontal and vertical borers and milling machines.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on finished parts.
• Use height gauges and micrometres to verify tolerances.
• Work as part of a team or independently to meet production targets.
