Job summary

People First Team Japan/ピープルファーストチームジャパン seeks a Mandarin-speaking Relationship Manager for Corporate Banking in Manchester. The role is office-based with immediate start and perm arrangement.

You will drive business development, acquire new corporate and HNW clients, and manage the end-to-end credit lifecycle while ensuring compliance with AML/KYC standards. Fluency in Mandarin and solid RM experience in corporate banking are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business/Finance/Economics or equivalent
• Proven experience delivering a broad range of corporate banking products
• AML/KYC/CDD experience gained through corporate clients
• Experience in cross-selling banking products and services
• Strong English and Mandarin communication skills
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Implement personal and corporate banking business development strategies and targets
• Develop new business opportunities within existing corporate and HNW personal client base
• Develop new-to-bank customers and channels per bank requirements
• Market and sell bank products in target local markets; build relationships with local professionals and associations
• Build and maintain relationships with Chinese companies and embassy representatives
• Handle inquiries from corporate customers
• Create and implement customer contact strategy; identify opportunities and marketing plans; develop long-term relationships
• Cross-sell relevant personal banking products while adhering to bank policies and regulatory requirements
• Manage end-to-end credit lifecycle for corporate customers including applications and post-lending administration
• Onboard new corporate customers; manage account openings and KYC/ KYB checks
• Assist with periodic reviews by collecting and assessing CDD documentation, including source of funds/wealth for high-risk clients
