Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Oxford is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead multiple projects for a well-regarded regional main contractor. You will report to the Commercial Manager and drive commercial decisions across education, commercial, student accommodation, and heritage sectors.

The role emphasizes bidding, CVR oversight, and developing a capable commercial team while maintaining strong client relationships. A commutable distance to Oxford and full right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Must live within commutable distance to Oxford.
• Must have the full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects concurrently and report to the Commercial Manager.
• Involved in bidding and work-winning activities.
• Oversee CVRs and upstream reporting.
• Engage with and manage contractual disputes as needed.
• Develop and manage the commercial team and build strong client relationships.
