Job summary

Randstad CPE on behalf of Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of a high-profile highways and infrastructure project. You will lead the site commercial team, driving profitability, risk management and robust financial control on this critical asset.

The role requires NEC contract expertise (Target Cost or Option A). Chartered status is advantageous, and you will report to the Commercial Director, coordinating closely with the

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering.
• Chartered status (MRICS, MCICES) advantageous.
• Proven MQS experience on major highways or civil infrastructure schemes.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contract mechanisms (target cost / option A).

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the commercial delivery strategy to protect margins and drive cost efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a site commercial team including Senior QSs and Project QSs.
• Act as contractual lead, manage compensation events, early warnings and notices under NEC.
• Oversee CVRs, cost reporting, cash flow management and forecasting.
• Drive procurement strategy and manage supply chain performance.
• Lead change control and value engineering initiatives.
• Maintain open dialogue with client commercial representatives.
