Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Nottingham is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, supporting major infrastructure programmes and clients in both public and private sectors.

You will lead a team, apply NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts, manage risk, and collaborate with clients and supply chains to maximise value.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working and opportunities for development within a global design and engineering group.

Qualifications

• Experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline with professional accreditation.
• RICS membership or equivalent.
• Experience with NEC, JCT or FIDIC contracts.

• People management/leadership experience.

We value your transferable skills and potential and are ready to invest in your development and progression.## Your role * We are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, based in Nottingham.* You will work across a wide range of projects supporting clients on complex and high-value programmes.* Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills – technical and others – to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver fantastic services.* You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.* The successful candidate will have a passion to work with our national infrastructure clients operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with our key clients.* This role requires you to pull on your commercial and procurement expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of commercial, procurement and supply chain requirements, all whilst focusing on ensuring maximum value within the supply chain eco-system for our clients.* The ideal candidate, is a team player, has growing leadership qualities and possess the softer consulting skillset required to thrive in a client environment. ## About you * A Managing Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within, construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisation.* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.* Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent recognised body.* Has experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application.* Has experience of dispute avoidance, with the ability to identify commercial or contractual issues early, manage them proactively and support timely resolution before they escalate.* Has experience of line management or leading a team, with the ability to provide clear direction, manage performance and support individual development.* Has the ability to work in a client facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.* Has strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.* Has the ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills in order to deliver excellent service to our clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to their best of their ability.* Has business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management.* We strongly encourage you to apply even if you meet only 90% of the qualifications.
