Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group in the Midlands region (Derby) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support major programmes and complex infrastructure projects. You will work with clients across public and private sectors, leveraging commercial and procurement expertise to maximise value across the supply chain.

Ideal candidates have degree-qualified QS credentials, RICS progression, and experience with NEC/JCT/FIDIC contracts, with strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.

We value your transferable skills and potential and are ready to invest in your development and progression.## Your role * We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Midlands team, based in Derby.* You will work across a wide range of projects supporting clients on complex and high-value programmes.* Working with clients across the public and private sector, you will use your skills – technical and others – to share your knowledge, expertise, and experience, and ultimately to deliver fantastic services.* You will work collaboratively with our clients and their supply chain partners to develop/deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems.* The successful candidate will have a passion to work with our national infrastructure clients operating with a growth mindset to build relationships with our key clients.* This role requires you to pull on your commercial and procurement expertise to advise and help deliver a wide range of commercial, procurement and supply chain requirements, all whilst focusing on ensuring maximum value within the supply chain eco-system for our clients.* The ideal candidate, is a team player, has growing leadership qualities and possess the softer consulting skillset required to thrive in a client environment## About you * A Quantity Surveyor with experience in major programmes and complex infrastructure within, construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas or UK Public Sector organisation.* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice.* Member of, or working towards Membership of, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent recognised body.* Has experience with construction contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC and can confidently produce and advise clients on their application.* Has the ability to work in a client facing environment, alongside multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, clients and partners to deliver solutions to complex client or industry challenges.* Has strong communication and stakeholder management experience, with the ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments, utilising a range of informative communication tools to support buy-in across the organisation.* Has the ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills in order to deliver excellent service to our clients, representing the AtkinsRéalis brand to their best of their ability.* Has business development and win-work experience, such as bid writing, pre-contract engagement, client relationship management.* We strongly encourage you to apply even if you meet only 90% of the qualifications.
