Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead a major project in Suffolk. You will oversee a team of Quantity Surveyors, produce CVRs, manage subcontractor payments, variations and final accounts, and report to senior directors.

The role requires a proven track record of leading £50m+ projects, strong communication, and experience with multi-stage projects. A permanent position with excellent progression and a competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience at a Senior/Managing QS level leading new build projects £50m+
• Strong communication skills
• Experience on 2-stage projects would be advantageous
• Sector experience to include Commercial, Industrial or Defence
• Prev roles include Senior QS, Managing QS, Commercial Manager, Lead QS, Principal QS or Project Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Produce CVRs and manage team workload
• Handle payment applications from sub-contractors and variations
• Prepare final accounts and report to directors
• Help grow the region and build the team

A successful Tier 1 Main Contractor with stable pipeline of secured projects across Suffolk have a new and exciting opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their business and lead a key project valued at over £100m. The company is looking for a candidate with experience managing others and is seeking a decisive career step. They will consider experienced Senior QS candidates who have led projects over £50m looking for a step up or proven Managing QS candidates. Previous experience leading projects over £50m in single value is essential for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for working across all commercial management functions on a large project overseeing a team of Quantity Surveyors. Key duties include producing CVRs, managing team workload to include applications for payment from sub-contractors, variations, and preparation of final accounts. You will report at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region.

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum 5 years experience at a Senior or Managing QS level leading new build projects £50m+
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous
• Sector experience to include at least one of the following – Commercial, Industrial or Defence
• Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Managing QS OR Commercial Manager OR Lead Quantity Surveyor OR Principal Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor
