Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial performance of a major project or portfolio across London and the South East from the Hatfield head office. You will lead commercial management, maximise profitability, and mentor the team while ensuring robust forecasting and reporting.

Based in Hatfield, the role requires senior-level Quantity Surveying experience with strong main contractor background and familiarity with JCT/NEC/PPC

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification required.
• Significant experience in a senior Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong main contractor commercial experience.
• Experience with JCT, NEC and/or PPC contracts.
• Excellent commercial, numerical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Hatfield

We are working with a leading Social Housing Regeneration Contractor to recruit an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. Based their Hatfield head office, you'll oversee the commercial performance of a major project or portfolio of projects across London and the South East.

Projects are a mix of high-profile refurbishment, regeneration and new-build projects across the South East.

This is a senior role where you'll take responsibility for maximising profitability, managing commercial and contractual risk, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing strong commercial leadership across the business.
