Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the delivery of high‑quality projects across water, rail, highways, aviation, energy and defence, with a strong focus on NEC contracts.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, shape commercial strategies and drive value through rigorous commercial discipline, while benefiting from a flexible, hybrid working culture and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent relevant experience, with progress towards professional chartership (RICS or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience with common forms of UK Construction contracts.
  • Experience in cost planning, estimating, benchmarking and commercial management within infrastructure, construction or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and communicate insights effectively.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, cost management tools and data analysis software.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective client relationships.
  • A proactive and innovative approach, with strong organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading business development and, or account management activities for major construction clients.

About you
