Managing Director – National Wealth Management Firm

Location: Worthing, West Sussex (Head Office)

Type: Full-time | Permanent

Salary: Up to £160,000 + Performance Bonus + Equity Options

Are you a proven leader in wealth management with experience scaling national operations and preparing a business for sale or private equity investment?

We’re hiring a Managing Director to join a fast-growing wealth management firm with over £1.6 billion AUM, headquartered in Worthing, West Sussex. The business has grown significantly through acquisitions and is now integrating its operations into a unified model, with a clear goal of positioning for a strategic exit within the next 3–5 years.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and execute the firm’s strategic roadmap to maximise valuation
• Oversee national operations, ensuring scalable and efficient service delivery
• Work with the Board and COO to align the business for acquisition or PE investment
• Drive commercial performance and profitability
• Maintain regulatory oversight (FCA), compliance, and governance standards
• Represent the business with external stakeholders, investors, and potential acquirers
• Build, retain, and inspire a high-performing leadership team

We’re Looking for Someone Who Has

• Held senior leadership roles in wealth management, private banking, or IFA networks (e.g. MD, CEO, COO)
• Deep experience with M&A, exit strategy, or private equity readiness
• A track record of improving EBITDA and scaling complex operations
• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks (FCA)
• Gravitas and credibility to engage at the Board and investor level
• FCA-regulated status or eligibility to become authorised
