Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Managing Director to lead Borderless Payroll's growth and operations, transitioning the company from startup to scale-up and establishing a stronger position in the UK and international markets. The role involves overseeing cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance, and driving growth. The ideal candidate should have experience managing companies in payroll, recruitment, or financial services sectors.

The Managing Director will be responsible for overall company performance, leading with a strategic approach, focusing on operational efficiency and expansion. You will report to the board and manage senior management across departments.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy Development: Develop and implement the company's long-term strategy, focusing on UK growth and international expansion. Provide leadership across departments and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Operational Oversight & Growth: Oversee operations, develop strategies for entering new markets, and increase revenue. Collaborate with marketing and sales to expand the client base.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with UK employment law and regulations. Manage risk and uphold operational standards.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop the senior management team, foster a strong team culture, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Represent the company with investors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in payroll, HR, or financial services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of payroll management.
  • Experience in growing businesses and expanding internationally.
  • Leadership skills in team building and performance management.
  • Financial acumen with budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
