Job summary

Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Managing Consultant in Services Business Development to drive client strategies, develop programs across local and global accounts, and lead end-to-end consulting engagements.

You will partner with solutions experts to create demand for services and deliver value through data-driven insights and governance. You will work with sales and project teams to identify opportunities, shape proposals, and ensure high-quality outcomes for diverse clients across the payments

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • MBA or relevant postgrad beneficial but not critical.
  • 6+ years of experience delivering objectives in consulting.
  • Experience in top-tier consulting or niche finance-focused practice.
  • Experience leading end-to-end consulting projects.
  • Fast-paced environments with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identification of client pain points, root causes and potential solutions.
  • Ownership of the sales process from prospecting to proposals.
  • End-to-end ownership of contract execution with legal and finance.
  • Working with Mastercard account managers to identify new opportunities.
  • Building relationships across management levels in client organizations.
  • Understanding client systems to tailor solutions.
  • Ensuring alignment among Mastercard stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Partnering with project teams to ensure project quality.
  • Development of Intellectual Capital in Special Interest Groups at Mastercard.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Identification of client’s pain points, root causes and potential solutions
  • Ownership of the sales process from prospecting to writing well-structured and persuasive proposals
  • End-to-end ownership of contract execution and coordination with internal key functions such as legal and finance departments.
  • Working with Mastercard account managers and clients to identify new business opportunities, communicate opportunity areas to key clients. Building effective working relationships across management levels in client organization
  • Understanding of client’s organizational systems and taking a considered approach to problem solving for the client’s unique situation
  • Ensure alignment among Mastercard stakeholders and manage dependencies
  • Partnering with project team to ensure project quality
  • Development of Intellectual Capital in Special Interest Groups at Mastercard
All About You:
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • MBA or relevant post graduate degree (beneficial but not critical)
  • 6+ years of experience with solid track record for delivering objectives in the following areas:
  • Experience in consulting top tier consulting firm or a niche consultancy (Focused on Financial Services- strategy/ insights focused practice preferred).
  • Experience leading end-to-end consulting projects/ programmes
  • Experience supporting design and pitch of proposals
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with a strong can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and as an individual contributor
