Job summary

Mastercard Services is seeking a Managing Consultant in Services Business Development to drive client engagements, shape strategies and lead proposals from prospecting to close. You will partner with solutions experts to convert opportunities into value for local, regional and global clients.

You will own the sales process, build relationships across client organizations, and contribute to intellectual capital.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience delivering objectives in consulting
  • Experience in top-tier consulting firm or niche consultancy focused on Financial Services- strategy/insights
  • Experience leading end-to-end consulting projects/programmes
  • Experience supporting design and pitch of proposals
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and as an individual contributor

Responsibilities

  • Identification of client's pain points, root causes and potential solutions
  • Ownership of the sales process from prospecting to writing well-structured and persuasive proposals
  • End-to-end ownership of contract execution and coordination with internal key functions
  • Working with Mastercard account managers and clients to identify new business opportunities
  • Building effective working relationships across management levels in client organization
  • Understanding of client's organizational systems and taking a considered approach to problem solving
  • Ensure alignment among Mastercard stakeholders and manage dependencies
  • Partnering with project team to ensure project quality
  • Development of Intellectual Capital in Special Interest Groups at Mastercard

Key responsibilities

  • Working with Mastercard account managers and clients to identify new business opportunities, communicate opportunity areas to key clients. Building effective working relationships across management levels in client organization
  • Understanding of client's organizational systems and taking a considered approach to problem solving for the client's unique situation
  • Ensure alignment among Mastercard stakeholders and manage dependencies
  • Partnering with project team to ensure project quality
  • Development of Intellectual Capital in Special Interest Groups at Mastercard
All About You
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • MBA or relevant post graduate degree (beneficial but not critical)
  • 6+ years of experience with solid track record for delivering objectives in the following areas:
  • Experience in consulting top tier consulting firm or a niche consultancy (Focused on Financial Services- strategy/ insights focused practice preferred).
  • Experience leading end-to-end consulting projects/ programmes
  • Experience supporting design and pitch of proposals
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with a strong can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and as an individual contributor
