Role Summary

The Manager, Strategic Oversight, will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's ability to execute and track strategic initiatives. This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a hands-on approach to developing systems and financial models that will enable leadership to understand the progress of strategic projects, assess the pipeline of future initiatives, and forecast the company's financial position over a 3-5-year horizon.

The company already has a range of systems in place for budget tracking, but these need to be properly coordinated and integrated to provide comprehensive oversight. The role is central to ensuring on-budget and on-time delivery of projects, resolving resourcing bottlenecks, and fostering a high-performance delivery culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Project Oversight & Tracking
  • Develop and implement systems to track progress on strategic initiatives.
  • Work with Regional Leadership to ensure budget adherence and timeline discipline across key projects.
  • Coordinate and integrate existing budget tracking systems to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate resourcing bottlenecks and conflicts proactively.
  • Work with project teams to enhance execution efficiency and remove obstacles.
  • Financial Modeling & Long-Term Forecasting
    • Design and maintain financial models to project company financials 3-5 years forward.
    • Integrate data from strategic initiatives to assess long-term revenue and profitability impacts.
    • Provide insights into capex, opex, and cash flow implications of strategic decisions.
  • Pipeline & Resource Management
    • Develop a clear pipeline tracking system for upcoming strategic projects.
    • Work closely with C-suite and their direct reports to ensure aligned resourcing strategies.
    • Identify early indicators of project risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Performance Culture & Reporting
    • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards to provide real-time visibility into project health.
    • Develop reporting mechanisms that inform the CEO, Senior Advisor, and leadership team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in project execution.
  • Executive Support & Strategic Thinking
    • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making at the executive level.
    • Assist in board and investor reporting on strategic project outcomes.
    • Act as a thought partner to the Senior Advisor and CEO in evaluating long-term growth opportunities.
    Key Qualifications & Experience
    • Several years of experience in strategic planning, financial modelling, or project management, ideally in a high-growth technology or Nasdaq-listed environment.
    • Strong expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analytics.
    • Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet) and financial software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
    • Ability to roll up sleeves and execute—this is a hands-on role that requires problem-solving skills.
    • Experience in coordinating and optimizing existing budget tracking systems for improved efficiency.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally across senior leadership, finance, and operational teams.
    • High attention to detail, strategic mindset, and a bias for action.
    Success Metrics for the Role
    1. Improved coordination and integration of existing budget tracking systems.
    2. On-time and on-budget delivery of high-priority strategic initiatives.
    3. Enhanced financial forecasting models that support executive decision-making.
    4. Effective resolution of resource bottlenecks, enabling better project execution.
