This is an exciting opportunity to join UK Finance’s UK Public Affairs team, part of our wider Corporate Affairs department, and play a key role in supporting our advocacy during a period of change in financial services.

This role will drive our external political engagement programme—building strong relationships across Westminster and Whitehall, and deepening our links with Parliamentarians, political parties, think tanks, and other key influencers.

You will help UK Finance, and our members develop a robust and dynamic political network, spearheading our bilateral engagement with MPs, organising political roundtables and events, and extending our influence across the wider political landscape. The successful applicant will represent the interests of UK Finance and its members and provide strategic counsel to senior colleagues.

Some Key Responsibilities

  • Driving UK Finance’s political engagement strategy and developing new relationships across Parliament and political parties
  • Managing a growing programme of MP meetings, parliamentary roundtables, and political events on behalf of UK Finance and our members
  • Building relationships with key party stakeholders, political advisers, and influential think tanks
  • Attending external political and policy events, including party conferences, with some out-of-hours work and travel required
  • Manager, Public Affairs (02/06/2025)
