Elsewhen, a London-based end-to-end consultancy, designs digital products and services for clients like Spotify, Google, Inmarsat, and WPP. Over the past decade, we have built a workplace prioritising impact, drive, openness, and friendliness. We value outcomes over hours and agility over rigid processes.

  • Remote-first setup: however the ideal candidate will be based within a commutable distance to London for important events and other face-to-face requirements.

  • Join our team:https://www.elsewhen.com.

What we are looking for:

We seek an ambitious Client & Business Development Manager to join our team. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by developing a portfolio of strategic accounts within central and local government and to help achieve better results by applying technology to solve problems.

As our first full-time hire sector expert, we would love for you to demonstrate leadership, relationship building, and out-of-the-box thinking to support the growth of our public sector practice. We are live on multiple frameworks, including G-Cloud and AI, and are looking to engage further with the industry — this role is pivotal to our success.

Things you will be doing:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Elsewhen proposition and our USP and be able to communicate to public sector buyers how they could benefit from collaborating with us.

  • Develop and execute a strategic account plan and your TAL (Target Accounts List) - from defining your key accounts across Central and Local Gov to generating mutual value.

  • Successfully establish relationships with identified Buyer Personas and prospects within your TAL. You will become a trusted advisor and enable sales via your network.

  • Create a pipeline of well-qualified opportunities with these prospects that leverage the benefits of the Elsewhen solution portfolio.

  • Manage a cadence for opportunity reviews, upcoming bids, and framework participation.

  • Manage bid process through public sector frameworks and develop relevant tooling - including bid portals, internal bid library and Hubspot integration.

  • Take part in market engagements, consultations and think tanks, to establish Elsewhen as a thought leader in the space.

  • Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities using a full range of online and offline channels (social, digital, events etc.)

Reporting line:

  • Director, Product & Strategy

Your Experience:

  • A proven track record of success, building relationships with senior stakeholders, using a consultative selling approach to maximise client outcomes.

  • Min 3 years of experience managing the sales cycle from initial prospecting to deal closure within the public sector (ideally Central & Local).

  • Experience successfully writing and submitting bids through government procurement frameworks

  • Successful experience and ability to build a new business pipeline from the ground up.

  • Min 3 years of working within a Digital Consultancy environment - You have built a good understanding of digital, tech and modern ways of working.

  • Leadership credentials: be a confident team player with demonstrable experience in selling services by understanding clients’ problems.

  • Experience developing iterative sales artefacts (workshops, proposals and presentations) as well as delivering them to a large number of people.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Why join Elsewhen:

  • We’re a flexible-first company. Work face-to-face or from home, whatever suits you best. Either way, we’ll bring people together socially to meet each other and build deeper relationships.

  • Opportunity to create work that has an impact and is measurable.

  • Autonomy - teams are empowered to make decisions regarding their tools and technologies.

  • End-to-end nature of projects - cross paths with other skill sets and career shapes.

  • An annual budget for training and up-skilling, including dedicated days so you don’t have to study in your own free time.

Benefits:

  • 27 days of holiday, plus bank holidays

  • Flexible working - choose how and where you work

  • Private health insurance

  • Comprehensive physical and mental health cover

  • Gym membership contribution

  • Perks (Amazon Prime, Cinema)

  • Monthly and quarterly team social events, with an annual team trip

  • £500 Feel Better Fund

  • Bonus scheme

  • 6 weeks paternity & 16 weeks maternity leave
