Position Summary:

The Manager of The Activities Program seeks to develop and implement a robust activities calendar by expanding community-based activity options for individuals served by The Moore Center. The Manager of The Activities Program creates strategic, meaningful partnerships between The Moore Center and the greater Manchester community. This creative and relationship-driven leader will identify and cultivate mutually beneficial collaborations with businesses, organizations, and community groups to enhance community participation opportunities, and support employment development initiatives in compliance with He-m 507, & 518.

This position also facilitates The Moore Center’s Rising Stars self-advocacy group. The Rising Stars group is made up of 50 self-advocates. The group balances the need for social engagement with the desire to amplify the voices of people supported by The Moore Center. The Manager of the Activities Program will assist the Rising Stars’ executive council, by providing leadership and empowerment opportunities for participants, as well as facilitated coordination of all volunteers and planned events.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Cultivate and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups

· Develop partnerships that create programming opportunities, support community , and promote advocacy

· Collaborate with the Employment Liaison to create jobs leads for people supported by Community Based Services of The Moore Center.

· Create and implement high quality curriculum for classes that address identified goals and objectives for individuals served by The Moore Center

· Coordinate and schedule classes, workshops, and activities for individuals served by The Moore Center that are in compliance with He-M 507 and or He-m 518 regulations.

· Ensure a diverse and engaging schedule of activities that promote skill-building, community integration, and participant choice

· Cultivate an active and engaged pool of available instructors for activity programming

· Facilitate the Rising Stars group weekly (September–June), providing a space for self-advocacy, leadership, and personal growth

· Support Rising Stars participants in planning activities, engaging in advocacy projects, and connecting with community initiatives

· Represent The Moore Center at community events, fairs, and networking opportunities as applicable

· Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (or related field)

· 3 years’ experience in building community relationships

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems

· Criminal, motor vehicle, OIG, DCYF and Bureau of Aging and Adult Services background checks that meet agency standards

· Have access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and maintain personal auto insurance of $100,000/300,000

· Proven ability to adapt to changing environments, from emotionally charged situations to highly structured professional settings

· Comply with all state, agency and department policies and procedures

· Demonstrated ability to develop activities for a diverse group of people

· Possess strong time management and organization skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ensure timely follow through

· Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to master new software
