Manager – Commercial Due Diligence (M&A Advisory)

We’re seeking a commercially sharp, intellectually curious Manager to lead high-impact Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) and strategic projects within a boutique, senior-led M&A advisory team based in London. Our work sits at the heart of the deal process—partnering with leading Private Equity firms, family offices, and corporates to assess and unlock value in high-growth, high-potential businesses across Europe.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial team that blends the strategic depth of top-tier consulting with the fast pace and exposure of deal advisory—without the burnout culture. You’ll lead engagements end-to-end, work closely with principals and C-level executives, and help shape both client decisions and the growth of our advisory practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and deliver buy-side and sell-side Commercial Due Diligence projects across a range of sectors
  • Analyse markets, customer dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth drivers to provide clear, evidence-based investment recommendations
  • Directly manage senior client relationships, including private equity investors and CxOs
  • Work across the full deal lifecycle—from pitch to final reporting—often under tight deadlines
  • Support business development and proposal creation, identifying opportunities to expand client relationships
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants as a project leader and coach
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Europe on cross-border transactions and strategic mandates
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s M&A advisory proposition and growth strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years’ experience in M&A advisory, strategy consulting, or deal-focused market intelligence
  • Proven track record in Commercial Due Diligence or pre-deal strategy engagements, ideally for private equity clients
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess complex businesses quickly and confidently
  • Experience working with investment hypotheses and transaction-critical insights
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and managing multiple priorities in fast-moving environments
  • Structured thinker with exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Sector experience in tech, healthcare, business services or industrials is a plus
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is welcome but not essential
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
