Job Summary

Our site in High Peak, UK requires a Manager, Client Services to join the Client Services team. The role involves managing client services functions including proposal and bid processes, commercial strategy, marketing material optimization, and organizing client visits to ensure positive customer experiences and site growth. You will work with senior management, sales, and scientific staff to ensure best practices in customer service and harmonize practices across preclinical sites.

  • Manage client services functions, including proposal, pricing, bid generation, letters of authorization, and supporting project timelines and schedules to ensure smooth business processes. Negotiate and finalize all applicable agreements and contracts.
  • Oversee scheduling, coordination, and management of sponsor site visits, including delivering capabilities presentations.
  • Collaborate with site management and operations to develop pricing strategies and review cost proposals.
  • Work with scientific and marketing teams to optimize marketing materials.
  • Prepare and coordinate weekly reports for site, finance, and the Client Services director.
  • Ensure proper use of databases for report production.
  • Manage departmental resources to respond effectively to client needs and optimize business processes.
  • Participate in multi-site bid processes and Global Discovery Client Services integration to ensure seamless operations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows to develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage team activities, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in departmental budgeting and authorize expenditures.
Profile and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Life Sciences or related scientific discipline; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Extensive experience in client management or business development roles.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the Retrogenix platform and processes is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well within a team and foster strong relationships.
  • Passion for people development and experience in line management of commercial teams.
