Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited in Farnham is seeking a proactive Management Accountant to join a small finance team. The role offers study support and an office-based environment with clear career growth opportunities.

You will manage month-end close, prepare management accounts, and provide financial analysis for stakeholders, while supporting process improvements and collaborating across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Experience in producing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Able to analyse variances and assist with process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month-end close process and ensure deadlines.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet.
• Perform reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Prepare and post month-end adjustments and journals.
• Produce regular management reports for senior stakeholders.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and maintain ledgers accuracy.
• Assist wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis.
