Job summary

Club L London is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to own monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and P&L analysis across the business. You will collaborate with different teams to monitor costs, understand performance and support key business decisions as the company grows.

You will drive process improvements, enhance reporting accuracy and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and board reporting for a fast‑moving, multi‑entity retail operation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in management accounts and P&L analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Ability to communicate findings to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for entities, brands and business areas with P&L analysis and commentary.
• Review logistics costs, marketing spend, overheads and profitability; identify variances and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and review month-end journals for accurate reporting.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations including gateways, intercompany balances, fixed assets and payroll liabilities.
• Support international tax compliance.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to analyse profitability and budgets.
• Support monthly Board reporting, statutory accounts, year-end audits and auditor queries.
• Oversee and develop junior staff and drive process improvements.
