Job summary

Vertu Skoda Darlington is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or an Assistant Accountant ready to step up, to support business performance with accurate financial information.

You’ll produce management accounts for Skoda and other franchises, handle forecasts, payroll, accruals, cashflow and balance sheet reconciliations, and coach colleagues within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant.
• Motor trade experience and Kerridge knowledge preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication with financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
• Excellent numerical and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Producing management accounts for Skoda as well as Seat/Cupra franchises.
• Forecasts and estimates.
• Payroll processing.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• Cashflow management.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconciling manufacturer bonuses.
• Creating spreadsheets and statistical reports for the management team.
• Coaching and developing colleagues within the finance team.
