Job summary

Giordani Resources is seeking a Management Accountant to lead day-to-day accounting and month-end processes within the finance team. You will own month-end close, prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations, while providing insights to the CFO.

The role supports budgeting/forecasting and external audits; prior experience with SAP and foreign currency/inventory exposure is advantageous, with part-qualification in CIMA/ACCA/ACA encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis.
• Experience with foreign currency accounting and inventory exposure is advantageous.
• Part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA/ACA aiming to qualify soon.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned areas of the month-end close.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and schedules for CFO review.
• Post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding balances.
• Review AR and AP.
• Maintain supporting documentation for month-end journals and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with P&L and variance analysis and provide CFO insights.
• Assist with external audit requirements and respond to queries.
• Ensure reconciliations are complete and audit-ready.
