Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance Limited is seeking a qualified Management Accountant for an initial 3-month contract with a view to permanency. The role reports to the Group Finance Director and oversees monthly consolidated management reporting for UK and overseas operations.

You will produce management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow), maintain balance sheet reconciliations, and support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, with a strong emphasis on controls and insightful analysis.

Qualifications

• Qualified or finalist or PQ level accountant with strong hands-on management accounting experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and first-class communication skills.
• Experience in management accounting and ability to work in a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts including P&L, BS and Cashflow reports.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure robust financial controls.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insightful commentary.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives including reconciliation of product costs.
• Ensure accurate accruals and prepayments are maintained.
• Assist with year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Improve the month end process and improve the management reporting information prepared by the department.
